interessant en effet mais on pourrait rabattre les arguments de l'auteur: - lorsqu'il d�plore la longueur du texte: 448 articles, ca fait beaucoup en effet mais � peu pr�s la moiti� de ces articles concernent des aspects protocolaires sur le fonctionnement des institutions et peuvent �tre ignor�s; en plus je ne vois pas en quoi le texte est r�dig� de mani�re 'peu limpide', ca me parait au contraire parfaitement clair, rien � voir avec le trait� de Maastricht qui �tait r�dige dans un language de juristes compl�tement abscon - l'auteur compare avec les constitutions d'autres pays mais tu peux pas comparer avec la constitution des Etats-Unis en 1787, un pays ou les gens vivaient encore � l'age de pierre, il n'y avait encore aucune infrastructure, ni droit social etc... - l'auteur s'offusque de ce que le Parlement europeen n'a pas le droit de proposer des lois; � ma connaissance, dans tous les pays, le role d'un parlement est de voter les lois (ou les refuser) non de les proposer. D'ailleurs concernant le r�le du Parlement, il faut voir que cette Constitution lui donne plus de pouvoir qu'il n'en a actuellement. GSM with embedded Linux, Motorola A768-E680-A780

Hye, Who has experiences with the following phones with embedded Linux OS: -> Motorola A768 -> Motorola E680 -> Motorola A780 I would like to buy one of these, but any experience, information, test report etc would be appreciated before buying. I'm interested in a full featured GSM, but it must not be to complicated in use. Embedded Linux OS is of course a great argument as well! I have a Siemens SK65 at the moment, because I intended to use the BLACKBERRY BUILD IN FUNCTION for email, calendar etc, but no provider in Luxembourg is proposing Blackberry (they say it will only work with an enterprise server having installed the Blackberry software, but no provider got it to work properly (Tango-Helpline told me that!)), so I will give it away again (If anyone is interested, I will certainly make a very low price, just mail me). The coming vote of the European Parliament will be decisive in whether software patents are introduced in Europe. Members of the European Parliament are currently visited every day by an army of professional lobbyists to convince them that software patents are a good thing for small enterprises and independant developers. Patents on software will render development more risky, and will endanger every software programmer in Europe. It is important to raise your voice before it is too late. If the Parliament votes in favour of some amendments which allow software patent loopholes, they will endanger a majority of jobs of the European IT sector. AEL.be and Openstandaarden.be invites people who are concerned by the dangers of software patents to demonstrate on 2nd June in Brussels and in some other European cities, and as well on the Internet [1]. AlphaServer

Hi all, I can offer a few AlphaServer machines for whomever'll take them: 1x AlphaServer 1000A 2x AlphaServer 2100A Those machines come with single Alpha CPUs, somewhere between 233 and 300MHz, and an unknown amount of RAM (nowhere near maximum capacity - which would be 1 resp 2 GB - for sure). The 1000A comes without internal disk drive, the 2100As have an internal disk of 2GB. All b0xen have one or more network interfaces and SCSI. Additional diskspace can be had in the form of one or more disk bays, each being able to hold 6-7 drives, with most drives being 1 or 2 GB (a very few have 4GB), to be connected via SCSI. One such AS2100A was presented during LinuxDays2005, for those who've seen it. These machines are *servers*, i.e. noisy, large (19"), will use lots of electricity and replace your heater, but they are also very fun to play with (ex. the SRM is to a PC BIOS what a Ferrari is to a Trabbi, one of the very first 64bit architectures, etc.). Of course, you may run Linux or some BSD on these machines, the AS2100As were even installed with Debian GNU/Linux already. So, this is definitely not for those who want/need extreme high-end CPU power (these machines are too old for that - they were high-end back in their time), but more for collectors and tinkerers. So if someone's seriously interested, let me know. FCFS applies. Greets Eric P.S.
